Pax River Has Poisoned Groundwater and Surface Water

with dozens of deadly chemicals
(see the list below.)
The Cedar Point Golf Course is beautiful, but deadly poisons contaminate the surrounding waters.
The bodies of water surrounding the Cedar Point Golf Course are heavily contaminated with two dozen deadly poisons. Goose Creek, Harpers Creek, West Patuxent Basin, East Patuxent Basin, Supply Pond, Gardiner Pond, the Patuxent River, and the Chesapeake Bay are severely polluted with with PFAS and other deadly chemicals.
Cedar Point is one of the most contaminated sites on the east coast of the U.S.
The following chemicals are found in St. Mary’s County’s groundwater in parts per billion. (We’ve seen how PFAS is measured in parts per trillion, whereas the chemicals below are measured in parts per billion. It’s a testament to the extreme toxicity of PFAS in tiny amounts.) Many of these substances are killers as well. Some of these chemicals are in various phases of being cleaned up.

The U.S. has failed to ratify the Stockholme Treaty on Persistent Organic Pollutants, an international treaty designed to protect human health and guard against human pandemics. Like science, international treaties that are designed to protect all human health on the planet are also out of vogue in the U.S. Its ratification would `adversely affect the bottom line of many deep-pocketed and politically entrenched chemical manufacturers who finance politicians like Sen. John Barrasso, the chair of the U.S. Senate’s Environment and Public Works Committee. Barrasso is the gatekeeper for all federal legislation regarding PFAS and other measures designed to protect public health from chemical contamination. Barrasso takes more money from the chemical industry than anyone in the Senate so the US government still does not regulate the 6,000+ PFAS chemicals, many that are already in our bodies. Meanwhile, the European Union is on its way to banning all varieties of PFAS. Too many in Europe have been sickened as a result of PFAS exposure.
